• Managed quantity and order date for materials to meet production schedules, purchase orders, compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecast and historical analysis. • Oversee short- and long-term strategy associated with material flow, inventory, WIP, lead time, and process improvements.• Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at the best value. • Responsible for reviewing demand, forecast, and assessing billings positions on a continual basis. • Identify performance issues and drive performance improvements with the team in order to reach key performance indicators including but not limited to delivery performance, inventory, backlog, and lead time.• Responsible for control of inventory levels; depending on demand to ensure sufficient stock is available while at the same time ensuring an optimum stock turn through effective planning.• Manages five employees between global supply chain, quality, regulatory, and R&D departments.• Communicates with manufactures on R&D and product innovation of existing and/or new products.• Establishes supplier relationships to reduce risk and establish effective purchasing arrangements.• Implements logistics systems and outsourced transportation to maximize efficiency and cost.• Strategically sources and negotiates to sell raw materials and finished goods to vendors.• Implements, creates, and develops packaging artwork ideas with the Marketing department.• Communicates marketing ideas with paper suppliers to create new and updated packaging requirements for finished goods.
