Oversaw 6 remote researchers working alongside data coding team in Manila. Conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis of military and rebel activity in the Philippines, including field research in Manila & Bohol; conducted & analyzed interviews, government documents, and academic scholarship to address questions of government force posture and rebel return programs during counterterrorism and counterinsurgency campaigns.Efforts were largely undertaken to support counterinsurgency efforts by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and inform American military doctrines, including an emphasis on why insurgents surrender and the effectiveness of different military units in conducting counterinsurgency operations.

In an effort to more effectively and efficiently bring joy to seriously sick children, I rewrote the Volunteer Training Manual and halved its cost of production, assisted the Volunteer Program Coordinator in training mentors, organized events for patients at local children’s hospitals, designed advertisements as well as commemorative books for patients and sponsors, and participated in fundraising activities.
