The controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company including theproduction of accurate periodic financial reports, maintenance of adequate system accounting records, cash management and forecasting, maintaining a comprehensive environment of controls and budgets to mitigate risk, and ensuring compliance with general accepted accounting principles.The controller manages a staff responsible for AR, AP, HR and Payroll functions.

Assist in all aspects of accounting including:  accounting clean up, internal controls and budget development.  Also act as an outsourced controller working on all aspects of a company’s financials’ and accounting processes.  Use my experiences in HR and recruiting to counsel our customers on aspects of HR that affect the company’s financials.

As the Vice President of HR and Finance, my role is to provide the overall HR and Financial vision of Smart IT. Duties include developing HR, Accounting and internal IT organizational strategies by contributing HR, Financial and IT information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction. Establish functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.Coordinate HR, Accounting, and internal IT operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining profitability, designing systems, resolving problems and implementing change.Maintain sufficient operational funds across divisions through banking and assistance from other financial institutions as necessary. Responsible for forecasting cash requirements and obligations.Develop HR and Finance system integration focusing on less paperwork, decreasing data entry, and imports/exports of information between systems, and evaluation of current systems and software.Develop HR and Finance team strategy related to goal setting, career paths, incentive plans, cross training, team size and responsibilities of team members.Manage teams and objectives, accuracy of month end reporting, reconciliation of bank reconciliation and other account reconciliations, upper management reporting, assistance with AR collections, verification of AP payments and costs, assistance with quarterly activities for consultants and office staff, Company general liability insurance and administration, verification of new hire profitability and contracts, ACH’s, wires and all complex banking transactions.

As the Controller of Smart IT, I will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities of the organization. My duties will also include streamlining existing Accounting and Finance functions and preparing the Company for growth that lies ahead.

Assist Company with all aspects of Company’s Strategic Plan, Accounting and Office Management. Other duties include A/P, A/R, Cash Flow Management, Financial Statements, Physical inventory Management with Accounting System Integration, HR Management, and oversee Company’s IT plan and systems.

As the CFO of BCforward, I am responsible for assuring the company is financially healthy and assist with Management duties. I work with budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and corporate investments. I also oversee a team of 7 individuals assisting me with payroll, vendor payments, invoicing, and general accounting duties.

I spent 4 years as a senior accountant with the public accounting firm of RJ Pile & Company. At RJ Pile, I was responsible for audits, taxes and consulting work for my corporate and individual clients.
