In 2007, I left Scotland for what I thought would be an 18-month adventure in the U.S. Fast forward 18 years: I’m now a U.S. citizen, husband, and dad to two wild daughters. I’ve called Atlanta, NYC, and Charlotte home, visited 39 states (working on the final 11!), and built a career in talent acquisition, leadership, and team-building.I’m at home in the recruitment industry because it’s all about relationships - with clients, candidates, and colleagues. Every day brings opportunities to collaborate, solve problems, and make an impact. For me, recruitment isn’t just about filling roles; it’s about helping organizations shape their future by connecting them with the right talent and solutions at the right time.Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with scrappy startups, Fortune 500 giants, and everyone in between. I’ve been trusted to launch three recruitment operations across IT, Engineering, and Finance, manage $30-45M P+L’s, and lead teams of up to 21 sales, recruitment, and operations experts. Serving on an executive leadership team also taught me how to balance strategy, people, and execution. As a leader, I believe trust, humor, empathy, and strategy are the foundation for success. Anything is possible when teams are engaged, empowered, happy and have a plan. I love the challenge of maximizing a team and the reward of helping others grow. Lifelong learning is my passion, and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with people around me - whether they ask for it or not!! Outside of work (and family), I try to squeeze in time for soccer, golf, reading, podcasts, investing, playing guitar, and, of course, whisky.
