I am also required to have a detailed knowledge base of financial practices so as not to breach FCA rules. Recently I have been shown the basics involving mortgages and my role has expanded to include supporting our payments team with transactions and managing the flow of mail within the office, eg sorting, printing, posting and ensuring no backlog of jobs exists.
