I am the Director of Sales at Shibaura Electronics of America Co. While being thoroughly versed in Sales and Customer Service, I strive to use these skills as a stepping stone in order to boost my true passion of Engineering on an international scale. I am bilingual in Japanese, and am a TEFL N2 certified translator. I work and have gone to school in both Japan and America, and am fluent in technical, professional, and local mannerisms in both countries and languages. I am constantly expanding my experience in all forms of Engineering.In pursuit of this interest, I have become proficient in a myriad of instruments over the last seventeen years. I have taken an extensive amount of courses at Cal Poly Pomona for music theory, recording, mixing, and live performance. I became the Stage Manager at the CPP Music Hall for two years and did all live sound for most events from 2013-2014, in addition to interning as an Assistant Sound Engineer at the Pasadena Levitt Center. I also received a $30,000 grant to redesign and refurbish the two recording studios currently in use at Cal Poly Pomona today.As a constant learner I believe in giving back and passing on the knowledge I have learned. I led multiple senior projects with the Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Technology Department in the purpose of creating synergistic labs for multiple engineering departments. While being Project Manager of a team of five other students from separate engineering majors, I designed and created the first Heat Transfer Lab at CPP as well as the first EMT Reverb Plate. I hope to continue this trend in both my personal and professional endeavors, and look forward to using my experience with businesses with similar outlooks.
