Types of losses included wind/hail, fire and plumbing losses. Policies included H03, H06 and mobile home policies. Territory includes Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk and Brevard Counties.

Field Property Claims Adjuster IIThe Property Claims Adjuster role provides prompt, courteous and fair claim service on property claims. Will be responsible for the investigation of homeowner claims (strong water claims experience preferred) to determine coverage under the contract, corresponding with customers over the phone, obtaining important claims information, and negotiating damage settlements. You will be documenting claims activity into our claims system and following processes that provide fair claim resolutions, customer satisfaction and cost management.Using strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the duties will include: Acknowledge claim assignments; confirm policy coverage through interpretation of the contract; direct adjustment of claims. Interpret policy; make decisions using independent judgment on moderate claims and determine if coverage applies to the claims submitted. Investigate claims to determine validity and verify extent of damage by telephone contact with policyholders. Negotiate settlements and make payments within scope of authority, settling claims timely, and in the most cost effective manner. Develop and maintain working relationships with vendor partners in the industry. Keeps abreast of claim and related legal principles, tax requirements as well as underwriting rules and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Provide prompt contact and timely inspection of field claims. Investigate 1st party property claims (Mobile Home, Dwelling, Renters/Personal Property and liability) determining coverage, completing estimates in estimating program. Handle field claims to conclusion, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis, and subrogation/salvage assessment. Complete necessary reporting requirements. Participate on Catastrophe duty as needed. Complete monthly reports. Complete additional tasks and special projects as requested.

Examine claims and write repair estimates on various types of property damage claims including automobiles, some motorcycles, some heavy equipment, watercraft and property claims for major insurance companies including Metlife, Travelers, First Floridian, USAA, Auto Owners and Liberty Mutual.Use estimating software as required by various clients including Audatex Estimating, PenPro, and CCC/Pathways.Determine diminution of value by reinspecting and assessing repaired vehicles and reviewing invoices, estimates and photos. Handle vehicle total loss evaluations, salvage value and disposal.Contact insured/claimant parties and shops throughout repair of vehicle to insure customer satisfaction with how the claim is handled and proper repair of vehicle. Conduct desk reviews of estimates to ensure adherence to industry standards as well as following insurance company guidelines for estimating losses.
