I have been training people for most of my career. When I first started working it was in the restaurant and bar industry from there I learned what it meant to be of service to others. That service minded mentality stuck with me in every role I held. Even in the earlier stages when I was not formally in Learning and Development it was something I always enjoyed doing, training people, helping people understand. That comes from a very young age when I was in school, I was often bored found in class, or struggling to understand and thinking to myself there has got to be a better way. Now this is not a dig at my previous teachers, even though for some I don’t think they appreciated me talking in class or joking around as much as I did, I know this because it was constantly written on my report cards, who knew that that is what I would end up doing in life! From my experience in class, it pushed me to find a better way to communicate, that learning can be fun and informative, you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. Learning and Development has been a rewarding career for me, and one area in particular has been my true area of focus and that is in the area of Leadership Development. With over 25 years of experience behind me I love working with Established leaders and with ones that are just starting out! I feel like everyone has something that they can improve on, and if you don’t, well I am up for the challenge, to find that leadership lesson that you never knew you needed. I have worked with most major Banks here in Canada and the United States, insurance companies, retail operations, Government and in Real Estate. I have Coached Executives, established leaders and brand-new ones. I have delivered Keynote speeches to small intimate gatherings and conferences with hundreds of people in attendance.I am also a Certified professional Co-Active Coach through the Coach Training Institute (CTI) as well as a Professionally Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) which means I have had hundreds of hours of training as well have over a minimum of 500 hours of coaching clients to maintain my certifications.My commitment to the growth and success of individuals and organizations is at the essence of everything we do at True Leadership.
