Co-founded an English/Arabic language e-commerce platform alongside my university studies, which specializes in fashion and beauty.Milanetta is an entrepreneurs' hub that acts as an online marketplace within the Gulf region for micro to small-sized enterprises, brands and start-ups, as well as offering own brand products.Day to day responsibilities include:• Establishing and maintaining relationships with influencers, suppliers, shipment company staff and manufacturers, whilst maximizing customer satisfaction across all touch points• Leveraging customer data and drawing on recent innovation and consumer trends to deliver strong advertising campaigns, promotions and strategic collaborations - saw a 20% increase in sales, 44% increase in number of orders and a 17% increase in average order value throughout 2021

I was responsible for supporting the development of Co-op's strategy and vision. and providing well-researched, authoritative input into senior-level planning and decision-making across the group. This involved leading on and supporting projects across the whole of the Co-op, working with broad stakeholder groups and supporting each of its businesses.Other responsibilities:• Research, synthesize and shape complex information around business-critical issues from diverse sources, quickly and effectively. Create frameworks and insight-based narratives to deliver high quality outputs and learnings to senior audiences right up to Executive level• Evolve the company’s strategic pillars by identifying business needs from a range of inputs and developing plans that determine the direction required to actualize the company’s vision, at a functional and senior level• Modelling and scenario planning to support longer-term planning – compartmentalised SIR model to provide predictions of COVID-19 outcomes and enable the business to assess the impacts of different epidemic scenarios and build forecasts into financial planning• Deliver updates to senior leaders right up to the CEO on the latest macro-economic andgeopolitical outlook - analysis and forecasts of economic development and policies, whilst highlighting risks and uncertainties that may threaten growth – all supported with meaningful implications to the business

My main objective was to design and deliver a strategic planning cycle to ensure it was embedded and recognised by all functions as the clear channel to influence business strategy and to ensure the business allocated its resources efficiently.Duties included:• Development of a prioritisation matrix to manage all new and existing change initiatives across the business - this has since evolved into a business-wide process for all projects and levels of change• Influence and build relationships across the business right up to Executive level to support high quality consistent delivery of the plan• Combine management information and technical knowledge to propose developments to policies and procedures to support business improvement• Support functions to increase their engagement and to promote and embed consistency between functional plans and the overall change portfolio

My core responsibility was around utilizing the business' software module to reconcile the banking records for 1,403 food store accounts against the Cash Centre records, whilst detecting all types of fraud.Other duties included:• Liaising with team members, store and area managers, Loss Prevention Team, Operations and the Co-op Bank on a daily basis to resolve discrepancies and queries• Posting daily journals and keeping up-to-date records of closing balances for nominal and statement cashbooks• Collating data and producing daily bank reconciliation reports to ensure matching of bank to book balances• Ensuring Food Store and Cash Transfer accounts are in balance to meet Period-End Reconciliations

Part of the team that helped Dubai Electricity and Water Authority climb from 15th to 1st in the DGEP and Government Customer Satisfaction rankings.Liaised with accountants on collecting receivables, preparing payroll, checking statements and all matters relating to the company's banks.Exposure to client meetings on site helped me understand the issues of managing client deliverables and structuring and implementing a plan of action.Learned how to analyse data, draw meaningful conclusions from them and make recommendations to impact the clients' business going forward.
