About Ryan Mcdonell

I am a mechanical engineer with a strong background in creating unique products and with a wealth of experience in cradle-to-grave development, design, manufacturing, and delivery of system and sub-system-level space hardware assemblies. I am motivated to solve problems and I have excellent project management and communication skills. I develop and implement solutions to the most challenging problems in both individual and collaborative settings, and am very familiar in working directly with manufacturing and/or subcontract teams to deliver hardware that meets requirements on time and within the budget.Recently I have been the technical lead for six of LM's first-flight Multi-Mission Modular solar arrays, a high-powered foldable thin-film substrate design, beginning from concept design through production, testing, delivery, and on-orbit deployment. I am a generalist with a strong working knowledge of mechanisms, composites, structures, harnessing, connectors, CAD design, stress and thermal analysis, manufacturing, and GD&T.

Listed skills include Aerospace, Engineering Management, Earned Value Management, Gd&T, and 15 others.
