I created the first "strider" bike because I love riding mountain bikes and motorcycles and wanted to inspire my then 2 year old son how to ride. That first bike was such a hit, that I founded the Strider Bikes company in 2007. Since then, Strider has grown into a globally recognized brand and an industry leader, producing lightweight, efficient, all terrain bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children. We've now sold nearly 4 million bikes worldwide and inspired 10s of millions of kids to ride.But, those are the lucky kids that get a bike as a child. I realized there are many more kids, the majority of kids actually, that never learn to ride. I can't conceive of a life that doesn't include the fun and freedom of riding, so I set out to reach these kids as well. In 2017, I founded All Kids Bike, a national nonprofit to make learning to ride a bike part of public education in kindergarten. As of 2022, we're in over 800 schools and teaching over 100,000 kids annually how to ride. With a 7-10 year program lifespan, we have close to a million kids queued up to learn this great life skill. I'm hoping to double that in less than two years.Stride On!
