Seasoned, well-rounded legal advisor with deep expertise in administrative and regulatory legal matters (with an emphasis on healthcare legal compliance) based on ten years of experience at an AmLaw 200 national law firm, bolstered by nearly six years of experience as an in-house legal advisor at Life Time.In private practice, I advised a variety of healthcare clients on legal compliance matters, including medical device and pharmaceutical companies, providers, management services organizations, GPOs, PBMs and payers, and health technology companies. In working with these clients, I structured, evaluated, and counseled on business arrangements to drive compliance with a range of healthcare regulatory laws, including state and federal anti-kickback laws, civil monetary penalties law, physician self-referral laws, state and federal false claims acts, telemedicine laws, corporate practice of medicine/fee-splitting prohibitions, professional licensing laws, and applicable coverage requirements (e.g., commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid). As an in-house lawyer, together with my cross-functional legal and business partners, I serve as the lead lawyer and advise executives and leadership on matters involving legal compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity laws, consumer protection laws, licensing operations, and health regulatory laws. At Life Time, I guided the company's California Consumer Privacy Act compliance initiative. I was the lead lawyer on Life Time's COVID-19 compliance effort, directing initiatives affecting nearly 160 facilities in 30 states in a fluid and emerging regulatory landscape.In both private and in-house practice, I have cultivated a deep understanding of arrangements involving management services organizations and professional corporations, providing practical counsel on structuring operations to manage risk around corporate practice of medicine, fee-splitting, privacy, and promotional considerations.I enjoy working with clients to understand and address challenging regulatory compliance matters.
