Following my experiences working with Amazon.co.uk I tansferred my skills into operating my own Fulfillment Centre. The company was a third-party fulfilment centre which allowed companies to utalise space within my storage facility as well as offer pick, pack & deliver services, thus allowing clients to focus on less time-consuming tasks. The business was a sucess, but due to business's rapid growth and access to facilities to support the growth, I chose to fold the business and use the experience to futher me in other opportunities.

My sales were in excess of 130% of expectation and had won the Customer Survey Index Bonus where employees are awarded a cash bonus for when a percentage of client surveys are returned with 100% satisfaction.

I entered into Arnold Clark as a Valeter/Driver and during my probation period, had been promoted to Sales Executive.

At age 20, I was appointed Team Leader overseeing approximately 200 Factory Associates. My main role was to delegate of tasks, inform staff of relevant notices at Shift Start Up meetings, ensure all staffs are on task and meeting MAPS, motivate and give valuable feedback to associates throughout the day on their numbers, quality and box recommendations. Ensure deadlines are met for all customer orders and they are shipped on time. Health and Safety Audits and Floor Safety Inspections are completed to achieve a safe working environment, administration duties of attendance role, holiday requests, time on task checks, trouble ticket submissions, return to work interviews and counselling. Guarantee an overall balance throughout Outbound within the factory and the shift runs smoothly.

I was selected to lead a Lean Sigma Project that involved me researching the efficiency of the “multi-large” shipment process. On this task I was given extra responsibility aside from my regular duties, such as filling a team lead role on the bundler, ensuring cut-off times were met and reporting feedback to those on the line. I worked with various members of senior staff on this project, for example, a number of Team Leaders, Learning Development Team, Process Improvement Team, Area Managers, the Outbound Operations Manager and the Managing Director. From working with those listed above, I managed to identify a process which will allow productivity to increase and which is expected to operate at its peak.
