About Ryan Mclaren

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University in 2004 (majoring in Accounting and Information Systems) I commenced my journey as an Accountant at the Perth based firm Rapattoni in October 2004. I started as a Graduate Accountant and worked my way up to the Client Manager position in 2008. During this time I also completed the Chartered Accountants Program (qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2008) and the Chartered Accountants Public Practice Program. More recently I have also obtained my Registered Tax Agents license.In October of 2010 I made the move to Sydney, working as Manager at Platinum Associates in Bondi, a small firm with clients including SME’s, Superannuation Funds and high net worth individuals/families. Whilst challenging, this role was highly rewarding and not only complimented but vastly expanded my skill sets in the fields of Taxation, Compliance and Business Advisory.From September 2016 to February 2021 I was the Chief Financial Officer at Plexus Healthcare. Plexus is a leading specialist health provider in general practice services to the Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF) sector at various locations throughout Australia. In February 2021 I commenced my role as Senior Manager at Smith Thornton Accountants.
