Highly Motivated Teacher of World History, United States History, African American History and History in Spanish (Dual Language Instruction). The driving force behind my instruction is making history relevant to the current generation of students, and applicable to the world around them using a variety of projects and approaches to classroom learning. Prior to teaching, I had worked in the field of Developmental Disabilities: that experience has guided my approach to differentiating instruction and using a variety of instructional strategies to reach a wide range of learners in the classroom. Lastly, service above self has always been a guiding tenant to my life and career: as such, I am a football coach and baseball coach, in addition to volunteering with the Special Olympics and assisting meetings with the fellowship of Christian Athletes. As is evident from the aforementioned, I am always looking for ways to assist our students outside of the classroom, and opportunities to assist my professional learning community.
