Chemical Engineering industrial masters project.

Nuffield Research placement. I worked within the TIC building at The University of Strathclyde in the department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. I worked alongside my mentor and other PhD students researching, synthesising and analysing various types of nano-particles. The objective of the placement was to create a report and poster for a presentation in Edinburgh were I had to present my findings to various professionals from industry and education. The experience was extremely rewarding as I managed to improve my confidence, communication and presentation skills as well as my knowledge of practical lab work and report writing skills. I also really enjoyed meeting new people and presenting my project at the exhibition. For my work at Strathclyde I have received the Gold Crest Award.
