Career Preparation Supervisor
Current-Selection, hiring, training, cross-training, supervision, problem-solving, timely and effective performance evaluation, discipline, grievance procedures of assigned staff.-Supervises delivery of programs designed to orient new students to the program, center life, exposure to training options and in developing individual career plans.-Schedule activities and experiences designed to assist incoming enrollees’ acclimation to the Center's programs with a minimum of personal adjustment.-Develops, implements, and monitors program modules to insure student success during their first 60-90 days in the program.-Analyze social patterns, behaviors, and overall social statistics of the center’s population to promote quality assurance, maximized performance, and overall center growth. -Plans, develops, implements and evaluates specific program activities to achieve outcomes for the Center. -Advanced/in depth knowledge of the Center's OMS (Center Measures) specific to Direct Services/Career Development and Transition.-Monitors the achievement of performance measures and recommends corrective action when necessary.-Responsible for needs assessment of and strategic plans to target populations or communities. Based on assessments makes recommendations regarding on-going and new-program activities.-Oversee the development of career plans to insure realistic and attainable goals are developed for each student.-Working knowledge of Labor Market Information (LMI) products and how to access and use such products in fulfilling required duties and responsibilities.-Provide occupational exploration to acquaint new students with job offerings and assist students in making their vocational choices.-Develops community resources and linkages, as well as, maintaining good relationships between new students and the community.
