As the CNC programmer, my responsibilities are to review job processes and change where necessary, help devise strategies and fixturing in order to continually improve any given part’s flow through the shop, write all necessary programs for customers parts and fixturing, ensure that the necessary tooling is available by keeping the CNC department’s tool crib stocked, maintain the program database, work with sales and upper management regarding various questions on drawings or job ambiguities, maintain communications between the shop’s laptop computer and each of our twenty machines, and help the machinists when they encounter problems.

June 2004 to August 2006 CNC Machinist Responsibilities- As a machinist, my responsibilities included proofreading programs, setting up and running a variety of oilfield related parts ranging anywhere from 4 inch tool joints to 16 foot liner hangers, documenting machined dimensions, and doing whatever it took to get a job done correctly and on time.August 2006 to August 2007 Night Shift Supervisor / Secondary Programmer Responsibilities- As the night supervisor, I kept track of everyone’s time, delegated responsibilities as necessary, made sure the right jobs were getting worked on and finished on time, handled any machine or program problems that arose, and wrote programs whenever the programming workload was high.August 2007 to April 2012 Primary Programmer Responsibilities- As the primary programmer, my responsibilities are to review job processes and change where necessary, write programs, ensure that the necessary tooling and gages are available, maintain the program database, correspond with the customer contacts regarding various questions on drawings or job ambiguities, maintain all aspects of communication between the shop computer and each of our twenty machines, and help the machinists when they encounter problems. April 2012 to May 2013Production Control and Programming ManagerMy responsibilities are largely the same as they were being the primary programmer however at this time I had a Programmer/Scheduler working beneath me. Other added responsibilities are quoting, leading contract reviews, and a more involved role with operations.

Programming, setting up, and running mostly liner hanger parts, holding close tolerances, cutting fine surface finishes, maintaining work area, and moving around to different machines when required to accomplish a goal.

Build and install wiring harnesses for Superscraper and APA machines.Machine necessary brackets for these machines.Diagnose and Repair damaged machines
