► Leading on consumer products and tourism briefs helping Canadian organisations develop their businesses in the UK by proactively assessing their market suitability, commercial goals, establishing connections with UK partners and expanding their UK network. ► Actively supporting several Canadian companies working in beauty, fashion, cosmetics, homeware, health foods, and other consumer goods to scale in the UK and connect with distributors, partners, PR agencies, wholesalers and retailers.► Working with partners such as Destination Canada to promote brand Canada and increase Canada's visibility in the world of tourism and travel. ► Supporting Creative Industries, Education, and Science, Technology and Innovation trade commissioners through event and research support. Recent events include: Canadian Biomanufacturing Mission to the UK; Canada Spotlight at Edinburgh Fringe; Farnborough Airshow. ► Providing support to the trade policy brief and senior management as regards trade data, KPIs and event support.► Event organisation for the Commercial and Economic Division with regular active engagement in ministerial visits, trade shows, business delegations and trade missions. Actively involved in logistics, programme coordination and event management. ► Responsible for the Trade Commissioner Service's CRM in London continuously tracking and assessing KPIs on team performance, data quality and engagement with UK market. Proactively maintaining and updating data contacts, clients, and stakeholders.► InfoCentre Point Champion: providing information to clients on customs, taxes, tariffs, VAT etc. for the UK market. ► Monitoring and analysing financial sanctions and global political watchlists from international regulators including OFAC, UN, EU, HMT. ► Processing financial sanctions lists to produce accurate and correctly-formatted data and information to customers within 24 and 48-hour deadlines.► Providing customer support on the contents of financial sanctions lists, ensuring they understand and are aware of any new developments within the international political and financial context.► Conducting continuous analysis of the international political and financial situation to identify, analyse and report new developments and updates in financial sanctions and global political watchlists.
