Working as a lacrosse coach at True Pittsburgh provided me with valuable leadership and team management experience that translates well into the business world. Coaching a diverse group of athletes required me to develop effective communication and motivational skills, ensuring that each player understood their role and was working toward common team goals. I learned how to manage groups, resolve conflicts, and create a positive, competitive environment. Additionally, I gained experience in planning and organizing practice sessions, seeing performance, and providing constructive feedback, all of which are essential skills in managing projects and teams in a business setting. This role enhanced my ability to lead, help, and strategize in challenging situations.

Volunteering as a lacrosse coach for overnight camps has been an incredibly rewarding experience, especially as I prepare young athletes for the challenges of the sport. Each day is filled with excitement as I help campers refine their skills, from stick handling to game strategies, ensuring they understand the fundamentals of lacrosse. I focus on creating a supportive environment where players can experiment and grow, while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and communication on the field. Watching their confidence rise as they improve and bond with their peers is fulfilling. This role allows me to share my passion for lacrosse and instill a sense of sportsmanship and resilience that will benefit them both in the game and in life.

Working as a waiter and bartender at a country club provided valuable hands-on experience that has directly contributed to my understanding of business operations and customer service. I developed strong personal and communication skills by interacting with a variety of different clientele, ensuring their needs were met efficiently. This role grew my ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure, all while maintaining a high standard of service. Additionally, I gained insight into inventory management, sales techniques, and the importance of teamwork in delivering a good customer experience. These experiences have equipped me with practical skills that are transferable to various business environments.
