CurrentI was brought in to champion the implementation of the new ERP system Microsoft AX on a 1 year fixed term contract but my ability to improve the processes in the old system coupled with my ability to deal with the numerous IT departments working on the implementation I was made permanent after 6 months. I initially started with 2 teams 1 in Cambridge (3 members) and 1 in Peterborough (4 members) and was subsequently made the credit control overall line manager (12 members)Pre Implementation• Working with the current process and finding ways to improve automation and efficiency• Understanding the agency systems that integrate into the old system and understand how it would work in the new system• Highlighted major issues with the data migration and worked with DevOps and functional consultants to improve the success rate• Created a collaborative way to work with the AML Compliance team that benefited both departmentsPost Implementation• Customer on-boarding team meeting SLA from day 1 and reduced the average time for review to less than a day within 2 months (SLA for reviews 5 days)• Continual process reviews and training for all teams under my management• Credit control was passed to my line management and I manage the two supervisors• Working closely with the ERP team to ensure bugs are highlighted and workarounds found• Working closely with the 1st and 2nd line IT service desk teams to help train them on common issues• Found a critical error with the invoicing process and provided the accepted solution that was developed• Working with multiple offices and departments to help raise invoices and resolve system issues (between 7k and 17k invoices raised monthly)• Continually working Compliance to refine the Finance/Compliance policy to work together to ensure all AML rules and regulations are adhered to both on the regulated and unregulated works
