I was involved in a geotechnical site investigation program at a mine site using a Sonic drill rig. This included logging soils and installing hydrogeological instrumentation. I also gained experience in technical modeling using SlopeW and Muk3D. Additionally, I reviewed rock core data for Rock Mass Rating parameters and developed software using Python to improve the efficiency of geotechnical data processing. Other tasks included completing Q&A of climate and hydrology data.These tasks aided in the development of a field investigation report to better characterize a site prior to the construction of a tailings dam.

During this four-month internship, I was tasked with completing site investigations to determine the suitability of the subgrade and identify potential geohazards for construction projects around southern British Columbia. I carried out material and slope reviews and provided recommendations to improve site conditions.
