With a BA in economics and an MBA in strategic management and marketing, I transitioned early on in my career from packaged goods marketing to commercial real estate leasing. While at RioCan, I was responsible for leasing of a portfolio of properties that included new ground up developments, redevelopments and existing assets.I was involved in a variety of projects requiring a broad cross section of skill sets and dealt with a multitude of tenants. I was a senior member of a highly aggressive and results oriented leasing team and helped with the training and mentorship of junior leasing staff. I was responsible for managing dedicated construction and operations teams to help achieve the highest volume of leasing transactions and was successfully completing an average of more than 50 new lease transactions annually over my last ten years with RioCan.After 12 years with RioCan, I joined Liberty Development Corporation in the role of Vice President, Commercial Leasing and Sales with the objective to help them build, grow, lease and sell their commercial real estate portfolio across the Greater Toronto Area. With an existing portfolio of commercial and mixed use sites and a deep pipeline of development sites, I leveraged my industry experience at Liberty to help drive and expand their growth in the commercial real estate sector through an active retail, office and industrial leasing program, an investment sales program and a commercial sales program.After 4 successful years at Liberty Development, I now look forward to leading a team of leasing professionals in my role as Vice President, Leasing at SmartCentres.
