As a Regional Environmental Analyst for EPA’s Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) Sample Management Office, I schedule Cases across multiple contracts and anlaytical programs while also reviewing technical documents for Modified Analysis to the CLP statement of work (SOW) (Inorganic, Organic, Dioxin/Furan and PCB Congener/WHO Congener programs) for technical problems and inconsistencies against the CLP SOW (analyses include: volatile, semivolatile, pesticide, aroclor and metals). I prepare and edit reports requiring data analysis and manipulation detailing laboratory analyses, methods, and performance using various programs, and databases on a weekly, monthly, and intermittent basis delivered directly to EPA personnel for both the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) and the Environmental Response Laboratory Network (ERLN) on different contractual and program levels (including budget and funding information). I have been Selected as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work with business analysts on a redesign and deployment of a consolidated portal for all contract related systems.

STEP position to oversee a migratory bird study, ensuring completion of plant surveys, bird surveys, data collection for the end of a three year long study. Assisted in a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) funded water quality monitoring project of the Currituck Sound at Back Bay NWR. Duties included: operation of small watercraft, and assisting with YSI Sonde data calibration and collection. Supported on all biological related refuge operations, including habitat management, population management, invasive species control, and refuge boundary posting. Coordinated volunteers for invasive species spraying, and collaborated with other agencies for studies on and around the refuge

Designed a thesis project centering on parasite community dynamics reflected in land usage patterns, including mastery of time intensive crab dissection techniques, manipulating a large data set (using SPSS and SAS), and learning to identify newly encountered taxa of organisms. Processed benthic organism samples, including preservation and species identification of invertebrate taxa, sediment grain size analysis, and collected/processed water quality monitoring samples.
