As an Actuarial Analyst within the Systems Development and Reinsurance team,I use advanced statistical, mathematical, and programming skills to develop andimplement robust underwriting models and calculation engines. These tools arecritical for accurate pricing, premium calculations, and risk assessments acrossour life insurance products.My responsibilities extend to overseeing the medical underwriting processes,where I manage and optimize the medical underwriting engine to ensure it meetsthe high standards of accuracy and efficiency required in our industry. I havesuccessfully led the release of an innovative no-medicals disability product,coordinating cross-functional teams and liaising with key stakeholders to ensureits timely and seamless introduction to the market.In addition to my technical responsibilities, I play a key role in knowledge sharingand training within the organization. I regularly present complex actuarial topicsto an audience of approximately 40 professionals, including deliveringonboarding programs for new graduates. I am also responsible for presentingand explaining new product developments to our sales force, ensuring they areequipped with the technical understanding necessary to effectively promote andsell these products.

I am responsible for sourcing and capturing data relating to claimsmade to the RAF (South African Road Accident Fund) and using thisdata in PDF to word conversion.

I teach and help high school kids of varying ages with mathematics and try to help them develop a love for mathematics. I mainly taught students in Cape Town over google meets.

I was the under 16B side in my first season and then got promoted to the under 18C side after my first season of coaching.
