Work Related SkillsAs superintendent, I am responsible for all levels of organizational operations including but not limited to the following:• As instructional leader, my primary responsibility was all aspects of building instructional quality. This included leading internal curriculum review teams, content selection and execution for a classical scholastic program. Writing curriculum maps, developing scope and sequence and developing appropriate feedback loops was an integral part of this process.• Recruiting and leading a high leverage faculty team and support level personnel • Developing, presenting and managing all aspect of the institutional financial plan• Maintaining financial fidelity to a balanced budget • Working with the Board of Directors to develop and when necessary to modify the long range plan • Interviewing prospective parents and aligning academic schedules• Developing and delivering parent education presentations for topics such as “planning for post-secondary work”, “success in secondary education”, “curriculum design”.• To promote and protect the mission and vision of the school • Reporting annually and hosting accreditation teams in order to maintain state accreditation Research Interests: In addition to general graduate level requirements, coursework focus has been in the area of Curriculum and Social Foundations, Instructional Quality, and Teaching Methodology.Review Committees:I have participated as a team member on numerous national accreditation teams. The team’s primary function was to serve as external reviewers to evaluate the environment of the institution relative to the following:• Ascertain the level of adherence to published accreditation criteria relative to instructional quality and organizational culture• Serve as a professional recommendation group to inform institutional improvements and program development
