I have 12 years experience as a learning specialist with a focus in special education and mathematics instruction and access to content through creating relevance. Of my 12 years, only the first three were dedicated solely to classroom teaching and IEP development. In 2007 I earned my Initial Oregon Administrators License and have pursued duties of greater responsibility and professional development ever since. The accomplishments and experiences I am most proud of include staff and program development (improving systems & outcomes for students) and teacher training through my hybrid position encompassing teacher mentoring, athletic director and adjunct professor for Masters level course work in Special Education (Law and Math Methods) and Pre-Algebra instruction at Rogue Community College .As I have grown professionally gaining experience and wisdom I find my greatest strengths and desires for further development exist in the educational coach/consultant arena. My professional goal is to find new opportunities that require traveling to learn from educational initiatives on a national level where I can broaden my skills in educational consulting, new teacher mentoring and continued adjunct teaching. I have discovered that adult education is just as enjoyable as teaching youth and breathes new life into my passion for education. I look forward to discussing opportunities in these areas with potential employers as I hope to branch out from the classroom and use my experience to travel and develop new skills and foster new relationships on a broader scale.
