Responsible for the implementation of the City’s Environmental Weed Strategy and revegetation projects of over 15000 ha of bushland reserves. Other main duties included supervising two part-time staff, preparing grant applications and budget management.

Primary duties was to assist in the southern elephant seal, Antarctic and sub-Antarctic fur research projects which involved the capture, handling and monitoring of populations based on Macquarie Island. Also provided assistance in sooty albatross monitoring, plant ecology studies (Macquarie Island Cabbage - Stilbocarpa polaris) and the feral cat.
