LIFT is an international program that challenges UBC Sauder students to apply business concepts and tools in a classroom of aspiring entrepreneurs. Through delivering training to empower local participants to start or grow their own businesses, LIFT builds capacity and creates opportunities for economic betterment.As a LIFT Team Member, I support the UBC Team (composed of 32 Sauder students) in providing training to entrepreneurs in Kenya & Ghana. The Facilities Planner handles various tasks related to the day-to-day operations and administration of building facilities and space utilization for the Dean’s Office and the Faculty of Education.I work with the Facilities team with projects involving space planning, renovations and maintenance by liaising with Building Operations, Project Services and contractors, as required.

AMS Safewalk is a student-run safety service designed for anyone on the UBC campus who is traveling alone. Driving and walking teams are available to accompany individuals to their desired location after dusk. Safewalk prioritizes those who are vulnerable and feel unsafe traveling alone, allowing them to travel with a greater sense of security. The service is intended to give safe means of accompaniment when no other form is available.As a Supervisor, I record and update client information, as well as dispatch teams to accompany clients as required.

Varsity Event Staff are responsible for ensuring the professional execution of varsity sporting events including basketball, volleyball, football, hockey and soccer and the marquee events of the UBC Thunderbirds.This position has a wide range of responsibilities of varying complexity and importance including: ushering and access monitoring, parking attendant, facility set-up and tear-down and various other positions as minor sporting officials.
