I work with the Marketing Team at Pragmatic Conferencing to produce all internal and client-facing content. Ongoing projects include (but certainly ain't limited to) email campaigns, blogs, B2B and B2G business proposals, website content and similar. Actively engaged with channel partner community to help drive business and create mindshare in competitive AV portfolios.

I supervised a small team of corporate writers, graphic designers and web developers responsible for maintaining technical and process documentation, company websites and marketing collateral. My own writing responsibilities include all external communications such as ad copy, business/government proposals, sales letters, e-blasts and press releases.

I love bicycles. I love talking about bicycles. At Enduro Sport, they allowed me to do so with likeminded individuals on weekends. I have spent three times what I have yet made at this incredible shop. Sold all things bike and triathlon.

Smith and Long afforded me the opportunity to hone the skills in sales that have since been transferred to the copy and proposal writing that I do presently. Meeting with established or potential clients, building relationships, assessing their needs and developing solutions are all vital skills in the sales process, whether in person or in marketing. A formative experience.

As manager of the independantly owned Runners' Choice in Waterloo, I wore many caps. Ordering, budgeting, scheduling, and - most importantly - marketing. It was here that I fell in love with copywriting. I established and grew a committed following of subscribers for an e-mail database to which I would send out weekly e-mails. Thanks to the encouragement from a dear employer and the support and feedback of returning customers, I developed the style that has served me so well to this day.
