Worked with a small agile engineering and marketing team to implement a new to the market beer fermenter and dispenser (Vessi). Managed the workflow and design through outside engineering resources to introduce a completely new to the world appliance in a little over a year. Lead the introduction of a small scale flexible manufacturing location on site at Whirlpool corporation to apply the UL certified production process to accommodate small scale production. Leveraged internal model shop to move quickly into production with minimal capital investment to eliminate financial risk to testing new products in the market. Benchmarked and emulated startup company culture during this project including the use of Indiegogo.com for crowd funding.

Applied Six Sigma black belt education to design components, draft and conduct design of experiments and implement products into production; responsible for design and implementation of subsystem modules including: gas systems for ranges and cook tops consisting of burner and grate design, cooling system, grill module, griddle module, cavity design; overall platform integration; responsible for thermal management between modules; answerable for interaction with vendors to develop proficient and cost effective tool designs; accountable for testing and qualification of components within assigned module; hand making sheet metal parts and assemblies to test theories and carry out designed experiments; working with manufacturing divisions to ensure lean assembly processes for responsible components and sub systems; running and developing test software and new measurement techniques, and creating innovative solutions for implementation of standardized tests; Responsible for total part and assembly budget associated with assigned module; leading a team of technicians to carry out test plan to understand y=f(x) for system critical characteristics; driving schedule for responsible components to ensure alignment to overall project schedule. Practicing lean principles, Six Sigma Black Belt Certified by Whirlpool Corporation and target candidate for Master Blackbelt program.

Using Pro-Engineer to design point of purchase displays consisting of injection molded, extruded, vacuum formed, and roto-molded plastic parts as well as sheet metal and wooden components. Appointed to system administrator for engineering group.

Using AutoCad and Pro-Engineer to generate manufacturing drawings for creation of vacuum sintering industrial furnaces; responsible for designing complete manufacturing drawing packages and ordering any and all necessary equipment and materials for jobs, as well as field installation. Represented company by giving seminar talks on a regular basis for this ISO 9001 company.
