With over two decades of dedicated service in the United States Army, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and information operations.I embarked on my journey as an officer of the Field Artillery in 2001, commissioned from the University of Central Florida. My formative years were spent at Schofield Barracks, HI, where I held various key positions within the 25th Infantry Division, culminating in commanding 157 Soldiers in combat as part of Headquarters, Headquarters Battery (HHB), 3rd Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment.In 2009, I was selected for the prestigious Bradley Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C., where I earned a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University. During this time, I worked extensively on both the Joint Staff and the Army Staff, specializing in government, development, and strategic engagements.Transitioning to the Information Operations career field, I served as the Chief of Information Operations for the 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY. My journey then led me to roles such as Chief, Joint Operations Center, at the Special Operations Command - Central (SOCCENT), and later as a student at the Army's School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS).My SAMS utilization tour took me to US Army Europe, where I played a pivotal role in planning NATO operations and their integration into US plans. Subsequently, I served as the Brigade Operations Officer for the 1st Information Operations Command at Fort Belvoir, VA, before joining the United States Special Operations Command in Tampa, FL, as an IO Planner.Continuing my commitment to learning and growth, I am a proud graduate of the Eisenhower War College, part of the National Defense University.Currently, I serve as a Division Chief on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, where I leverage my extensive background to contribute to the nation's defense and strategic initiatives.I am passionate about leading teams, solving complex challenges, and driving impactful change. The School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) is one of four United States Army schools that make up the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This "enormously rigorous" graduate school comprises two programs: the larger Advanced Military Studies Program (AMSP), and the Advanced Operational Art Studies Fellowship (AOASF), which more senior officers attend. The student body is small but diverse and comprises members of each of the U.S. armed forces, various U.S. Government agencies, and allied military forces. Graduates are colloquially known as "Jedi Knights".The school educates the future leaders of the U.S. Armed Forces, its Allies, and the Interagency at the graduate level to be agile and adaptive leaders who think critically at the strategic and operational levels to solve complex ambiguous problems.SAMS graduates are innovative leaders, willing to accept risk and to experiment. The JCS/OSD/ARSTAF intern program is a highly competitive/selective three-year program hosted by the Director of the Army Staff. Phase I – officers attend Georgetown University and obtain a Master of Policy Management. Students demonstrate their ability to integrate analytic and management tools to recommend solutions to specific policy problems. Phase II – officers serve on the Joint Staff or Office of the Secretary of Defense. Interns are integrated into the policy and operational activities of the nation's senior military staffs to give them a broader perspective of operations within the military and our government. This training prepares officers to serve more effectively in future staff positions within the Joint staff, the Services, or within other defense agencies. Phase III – Army Staff internship: interns spend the third and final year of the program working within the Army Staff. Like the Joint Staff and OSD staff, the Army Staff slates interns into demanding roles as lead action officers, calling upon their knowledge base to represent the Army within the Pentagon and throughout Department of Defense (DoD).
