As a senior mechanical engineer at Colorado State University, I have had the privilege of being enrolled in a design practicum course. Within this course, I was chosen by a representative of the MIBA Frictec company to work on their project. This project involves designing and building a test fixture to determine the shear strength of the adhesive on clutch and axle friction disks. While working with this company, I have been able to expand my knowledge and experience of the design process that a mechanical engineer would experience in industry.

While studying at Colorado State University, I had the privilege to be taught by professors on highly complex topics in a wide variety of applicable industries. Before I graduated I took courses such as Space Propulsion, Lasers and Optics in Mechanical Engineering, and Building Energy Systems (HVAC) which gave me experience in presenting and analyzing highly complex information.

Cody, Wyoming

While working at Ishawooa Mesa Ranch, I learned how to maintain and run a farm that provided both vegetables and meat for myself and others in the community of Cody, WY. This job gave me the ability to live a mere 40 miles away from Yellowstone national park while gaining valuable knowledge on ranch upkeep. Throughout my work days, I had chores lasting from 7:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. at night, these chores consisted of tasks such as milking the cows, irrigating the pastures, maintaining the chickens, and other projects that changed daily. While working here, my favorite experience was being able to go onto to lease where the beef cows were held to look after and give vaccines to newborn calves.

Cherry Hills Village, Co

While working for Cherry Hills Village Parks Department, I performed tasks as a seasonal parks employee during the summer months while I was not in school. This job taught me perseverance through long ten hours days spent outside in the sun doing manual labor. I was also fortunate to learn how to operate and provide maintenance to small equipment with one cylinder engines as well as heavy machinery such as wood chippers and Bobcat vehicles and accessories. Throughout my three summers working for Cherry Hills, I gained the respect and responsibilities of a full time employee and was trusted and aloud to work on one person projects.
