Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist
CurrentEl Camino Heath – Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist- Responsible for full credentialing process from pre-application to board approval- Obtaining primary source verification and documentation in accordance with hospital bylaws and NCQA and TJC Standards- Timely follow up on pending items necessary to complete credentialing process and Focused Professional Evaluations (FPPE)- Analyze activity log and current competency for medical staff privileges - Process providers across all hospital departments and is sole owner of residents, fellows, medical students, and certified registered nursing students- Serve as “Float” position to provide coverage and assist team members to meet file audit deadlinesProficient in MD-Staff System Support the Interdisciplinary Practice Committee (IDPC)- Help organize and manage meeting with committee chair- Prepare meeting materials: meeting minutes, agenda preparation, policies, and attendance report- Analyze Privilege Forms and suggest necessary changes from department level to Medical Executive Committee- Serve as a liaison for allied health staff and bring any concerns to the committee for reviewal Support Credentials Committee and provide assistance to Manager Organizing Events- Assist and support on Medical Staff Events: Doctor’s Day, Inauguration, Physician Mixers, and Hospital Engagement Surveys
