In my role as a mortgage adviser I gave advice on mortgages, home insurance and life and critical illness cover through Barclays and legal and general. I worked closely with our private banking team and help existing clients and new clients with complex needs. I maintain excellent customer services to all clients. I complied to Barclays polices and procedures and maintain a competent status throughout.

My job role is to deliver quality business that is both compliant and profitable by providing clear and appropriate advice on protection and savings products. I have to deliver quality sales in line with my individual target and business plans. I conduct fact find interviews with new and existing customers to review their financial needs, actively advising on protection and savings needs and referring the customers to other specialist such as mortgage advisor, wealth advisor and private banking managers. I have to maintain excellent customer services to provide great customer experience and promote the advocacy for the brand Lloyds banking group. I must operate within the compliance framework and ensure own sales activities fully comply with all legislative, regulatory and group policies and procedures, reporting requirements and instructions and adherers to the principles of treating customers fairly. I develop and maintain product knowledge across the full range of products and services by completion of annual tests and exams. I also provide advice and support for less experienced team members and act as a prime point of reference for all protection enquires.

As an expert in the branch, I work closely with my colleagues as a one team to deliver the right customer outcomes by listening and helping customers manage their money and putting their needs first. I was able to handle customer complaints with confidence which help me with customer retention. My main day to day activates were to manager my diary, self generate my own appointments, refer to my other colleagues including mortgage advisor, financial consultants and wealth advisers and to give excellent customer service. During my interviews I was able to cross sale different products such as loans, credit cards, overdrafts, home insurance, packaged accounts and customer recruitment. Whilst working within one team I had to motivate, support and listen to my colleagues concerns that they had, I was able to hold coaching meetings for my colleagues to help with lead generation.
