Guide the strategic and technical direction for the development of Bellevue's enterprise GIS, supervise a staff of 6 GIS professionals. supporting over 1,700 staff in 13 departments across 35 different locations. Core duties:GIS Operations and Technology: Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and security of the enterprise GIS infrastructure. Manage support of production enterprise systems. Coordinate vendor procurements for GIS services and products including writing Requests for Proposals, selecting vendors, and managing contracts and budget.Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic vision for Bellevue's GIS program, aligning it with the Enterprise Technology Strategic Plan and organizational goals. Foster collaboration with department heads and stakeholders to identify and prioritize GIS needs across the organization. Team Management and Supervision: Recruit, mentor, professionally develop, and mentor GIS team while focusing on performance evaluation, training, and professional development to foster career growth and job satisfaction. Project Management and Delivery: Ensure enterprise-wide GIS projects are properly defined, resourced, and are managed according to department PM standards and processes. Develop project plans, scope documents, and timelines for GIS initiatives. Communications & Outreach: Actively participate in the GIS community and encourage staff to participate and expand their skills.
