Passionate professional with many years of experience in the private and public sectors. I have worked with a diverse group of professionals and individuals during my time as a professional. Ranging from middle school, high school, and college students; to professionals in higher-ed, historical societies/museums, small startups, and large non-profits.I am currently a Regional Talent Development Instructor for West Michigan Works where I teach virtual and in-person classes, manage Learning Management Systems, and develop appropriate curricula for West Michigan Works. Prior to Michigan Works, I served as an AmeriCorps member with Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids as the Talent Development Specialist. In this role, I developed an initiative to assist our staff with going back to school, through Financial Aid and Ed Coaching. Through this initiative, I have helped Goodwill staff and participants procure $105,300 in free scholarships and financial aid resources to achieve their education and career goals. Previous experience includes working with the North Berrien Historical Museum, and Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. I have a BA from Cornerstone University in History, with a minor in Business Administration and studied Secondary Education at Western Michigan University.
