I am the Planning Manager for the Central Region based at The Property Group Limited’s (TPG) Palmerston North Office. TPG has worked on some of the most significant and impressive infrastructural projects that have defined and shaped the face of New Zealand.With 15 years’ experience in resource management roles for local government, I specialise in providing technical and strategic planning advice. My expertise extends to coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams, and resource consent application preparation and decision making. I have been involved in a variety of significant public and private projects including commercial developments, heritage projects, waterfront developments, large-scale infrastructure projects, comprehensive multi-unit residential developments, childcare centres, big box retail, supermarket developments and significant rural-residential developments on the urban fringe.On multiple occasions I have prepared evidence and have appeared as an expert witness at both Council hearings and in the Environment Court. I have also been involved in community consultation, Environment Court mediation and have acted as a Facilitator in Pre-Hearing Meetings for resource consent applications. I am also an accredited Independent Commissioner under the Making Good Decisions Programme.
