About Ryan Olar

I was exposed to the fire protection industry at age 12 while working weekends on job sites for my dad’s company running a Ridgid 300 pipe machine. I grew up with the assumption that all kids had an office with autocad in their home to draw and play on. The fire protection trade has always been something I’ve been attached to since I was young and I have a vision for what it will look like for me in the future. I joined the Army at age 20 in 2009 as a 68W Combat Medic with a 12 month combat deployment in 2011. After 4 years of service I returned to the fire protection trade. In the past 11 years I’ve studied and worked hard to understand all aspects of the trade. I’m currently a NICET level 1 water based systems layout design engineer, proficient in 2D autocad and 3D AutoSPRINK software. With over a million square feet of fabricated fire sprinkler pipe I self certify for MIG welding fire protection systems. My hobbies also include proficiency in most adobe products included within the creative suite… and most importantly yes, I am in fact forklift certified.
