Time is split between manufacturing plant support, process hazard analysis, and R&D process improvement. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for a propylene polymerization plant, fuel additives & inhibitors toll manufacturers. Organize and execute detailed hazard analysis for bench scale research units. Design experiments to improve process economics and troubleshoot scale-up challenges.

I am working as a process engineer on the Blending and Shipping team at Chevron Oronite's Oak Point Chemical Plant. A majority of my work involves providing daily support to ensure our blends are on test. In addition to this, I am working on a variety of other plant improvement projects in the B&S area.

Worked as a process engineer providing technical support for toll manufacturing of Viscosity Index Improver (VII) concentrates. This position has given me experience in a variety of areas that include updating process standards, planning and executing plant trials, and finding root cause behind various customer complaints.

During my time on the Viscosity Modifier (VM) team, I acquired extensive knowledge in addressing diverse technical challenges. I gained a solid understanding of polymer interactions in engine oil and became proficient in the low-temperature performance of olefin co-polymer VII. Collaborating with my team, I helped establish testing protocols while also enhancing my project management skills through hands-on field testing of products. Lead a multi million dollar bench and engine testing program where findings from the study helped solve an ongoing customer problem.

Studying time dependence of surface pressure associated with the compression of an insoluble di-block copolymer surfactant through micro-channels using a Langmuir trough.

Assembled, prepped, and checked test stations for engineers to run experiments on fuel cells.
