Acting as Deputy Group Leader of J-6 DARHT Engineering Operations and Physics.

Managed the Mechanical/Engineering Team as the Team Leader. Organized and prioritized work for engineers and technical staff, handled personnel/HR matters, and created and filled staff openings in pursuit of a balanced and complete team. Experienced with project deployment in short maintenance windows during the non operational time for the DARHT accelerators working with multiple disciplines to schedule complex operations. Deployed multiple new systems in time constrained periods while developing maintenance plans that can be carried out in parallel by technicians and other staff. Tracking of systems information, including maintenance activities and engineering changes or upgrades. All information tracked in DARHT configuration management software and all documentation maintained via document control. Training of junior staff as well as newly hired engineers into the DARHT complex. DARHT is a unique place to work that requires very tailored knowledge and skills to keep compliant with DOE Order 420.2 and LANL conduct of engineering policy.Certified as Pressure Safety Officer Duty Area A, and serve as the J-6 group Pressure Safety Officer. Chair the J Division Worker Environment Safety Security Team (WESST), Participate in the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), and have attended multiple conferences in pursuit of maintaining LANL's Star Site status.

Followed the LANL Conduct of Engineering (CoE) Program in support of facility modifications and facility configuration management in accordance with LANL and DARHT-specific Engineering Standards, Administrative Procedures (APs), and related Codes and Standards. Lead the mechanical engineering effort in the development and review of mechanical designs for new and replacement equipment installations including design details, equipment data sheets, equipment selection, calculations, installation instructions / specifications, post-modification testing and commissioning procedures, drawings using CAD softare (i.e SOLIDWORKS, CREO, AutoCAD, etc.), as well as simulation work to satisfy the applicable design requirements.Interfaced and coordinated with other engineering disciplines and the customer(s) to establish design requirements, scope, schedule, and cost. Assisted in defining maintenance requirements involving preventative and corrective maintenance and the tracking and trending of system performance as well as built the tool to track configuration management and spare criticality at the facility. Supported associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations. Operated as the Chair of the Student Worker Environmental Safety Security team and co chaired the J Divisional Worker Environmental Safety Security Team. Also operated as a Pressure Safety Officer in support of group safety efforts displaying the ability to provide leadership and the willingness to push for high levels of team work.

Assisted in defining maintenance requirements involving preventative and corrective maintenance and the tracking and trending of system performance. Developed problem solving skills and constructed an analytical approach to day to day work.

Worked towards implementation of ISO:9001 quality assurance standards at the solar powered aircraft manufacturing company. Worked alongside management and engineering teams to develop documentation in support of the program.

Roads condition surveys – with the direction of an engineer drove roads, took measurement and notes as needed, re-typed information in a format as requested by the engineer, the data was used later to prepare construction documents (drawings and specifications) for 2019 projects.Building condition surveys – with the direction of an engineer visited the different administrative and recreation sites to do visual evaluations of the buildings, information was entered in the database, data was analyzed to determine the maintenance needs for the buildings.Water systems conditions surveys - with the direction of an engineer visited the different administrative and recreation sites to do visual evaluations of the water systems, data that was later analyzed to determine the maintenance needs for the water system.Construction inspections – supported the engineers during projects constructions, observed the contractors methods, and documented the daily activities and measurements.Traffic counters program - with the direction of an engineer visited a selected route and installed a traffic counter, collected data that was later analyzed to determine the usage of the road.Support other programs – spent time shadowing and learning what other programs in the forest do, what other programs consist of recreation, lands, surveying, timber administration, budget and others as possible.Drafting, calculations, and research – with the direction of an engineer drafted drawings (using AutoCAD), performed calculations and conducted research as requested

Worked hands on with the Maintenance Lead on developing a working maintenance schedule for the facility. Worked daily on HVAC and other construction related projects in support of the daily operation of the Church.
