Develop and strengthen the fielders to meet the challenges of collegiate play. ‒ Teach and coordinate in-game bunt and 1st and 3rd defensive play. ‒ Teach and instruct outfielders and catchers on technique and positioning. ‒ Improved Total Chances, Fielding Percentage, and Double Plays turned. • Instruct and assist hitters with hitting principles, philosophies, and mechanics. Serve as primary batting practice pitcher.• Provide oversight to team and individual statistical database and reports. Ensure accuracy of reporting and player feedback profiles.• Maintain and communicate with local high school coaching network. Coordinate scouting, recruiting visits, and campus tours. • Collaborate with Trainer to safeguard and monitor players’ health and recovery. • Ensure compliance to rules and regulations of Newbury College, New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), and the NCAA. Align player conduct and academic standing with program’s philosophies and university requirements.
