During my time as an aspiring IT Professional I have completed an internship with Hitachi Vantara. During my time there I have learned several relevant IT skills such as maintaining server racks. I achieved this by following my mentor as he talked me through how to change the ram in a server rack to a higher capacity, I have also shadowed his group as he liaised with huge customers across the continent to implement changes on their proprietary content platforms. Some noteworthy customers include Rabobank and the Spanish Department of Justice.After I completed the internship I was determined to start my career in IT as soon as possible, and that is when I found Ark. Ark is a network of schools with approximately 50 sites across the United Kingdom. I signed on to an apprenticeship doing IT Support and that is where I happily reside currently. A typical day working for Ark often entails liaising with customers and creative thinking to ensure I can cater to their issues to the best of my ability. I work in a small team and we work effectively together, even through the highest pressure environments.
