Safety and production driven foreman. Running contracted work for Peoples Gas company around the city of Chicago.Tasked with starting and seeing through multimillion dollar projects from start to finish from PGL. Entrusted with the task of excavating, installing, scheduling with PGL, and seeing projects through until the end. These projects include installation of new natural gas mains, scattered service lines, and vault remediation projects. On occasion, these projects required the installation of protective shoring systems due to depths. These protective shoring systems that was in charge of installing include: timber shoring from 6-10 ft deep, manhole brace shoring, Finform shoring, and aluminum sheeted box framing. Safety was most important task at hand. Always started the day with a toolbox talk about task at hand and what the hazards were associated with that task and how we would abate those hazards.

Started this position as an apprentice with minimal knowledge about underground utilities at the time. Took every opportunity and chance to learn and grow that was offered to me by KS. Within a year at KS, I learned and participated in safety leader committee that met every Monday morning. I was tasked with being in charge of the excavating of our trench holes and responsible for digging and finding any unmarked utilities that would come our way. I learned how to properly and safely install protective shoring systems, the do’s and dont’s of working with natural gas.
