My name is Ryan A. Paith. I am a recent graduate of bio-engineering at the University of Toledo. In the future I plan on possibly taking on a second major in neuroscience and work on factoring those degree to work together. I was treasurer for the Velma Rodefer Chapter of the Shadyside National Honors Society. I had previous work experience as a skate guard form the Moundsville Roller Derby in Moundsville, West Virginia, in which I helped promote a healthy and safe environment for the patrons that would choose to come on the weekends. Along with this, I was a Journeymen's Apprentice for Manseutto & Sons N.F. working on industrial roofing. I also spent a co-op working with NPD Manufacturing for Midmark Corporation where I learned my initial soft skills in design processes. I spent my next co-op at Humanetics in which giving my unique position, I was able to both work on Material testing and prototype testing, along with taking on a few individual projects. This position helped foster my adaptable nature to the working environment that I find myself in. It also helped in expanding my knowledge in chemical studies in different type of material make-ups along with understanding how it can impact testing. For my final and most recent co-op, I worked with DePuy Synthes and a Knee R&D Co-op in which I was able to get a more in-depth knowledge of implant devices and the process to get them on to the market and adhere to FDA's and Company's standard. I plan on living to a code in which I want to get past the saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" and strive to one of "If it ain't broke, improve upon it, because you already know of a standard working version".
