Intelligent Visions Engineer
CurrentAs an Intelligent Visions Engineer it is my job to create advanced artificially intelligent algorithms and deploy them on the edge, with power and efficiency being paramount whilst maintaining the desired accuracy for crucial decisions to be made on the battlefield.As the business group is very new to the field of AI, I have been responsible for creating the AI framework for the company, from the ground up. This includes creating a platform to train and deploy AI models on custom datasets to solve real world problems for soldiers on the battlefield.I have been proud to work on and deliver a wide variety of projects for various military and commercial organizations. I am especially proud of one project whose solution has a current patent pending in my name.Within my role I am responsible for the full lifecycle of these models, the general steps from conception of the idea to the deployment of the product are as follows:1) Prototype/ proof of concept, I primarily program this in Python on a PC setup.2) Data Collection and Labelling3) Conversion of model to lower level language - I generally move from Python to C/C++4) Embedded Linux to deploy algorithm onto product - I have worked with hardware such as general FPGA's, NXP's IMX6's and NVidias Jetson family such as the NANO and the AVX Xavier.5) Testing and further speed/accuracy optimizations.
