In this role, my team and I support the Commercial Markets line of business by providing and managing various operational metrics. Working closely with the Commercial Markets line CFO’s as well as the line actuaries to provide, analyze and manage large datasets for reporting purposes. We collaborate with various IT services throughout the company to facilitate consistent reporting while keeping up with changes in the business. In addition to our technical activities, we perform analysis and ad hoc reporting providing Senior Management the tools they need to grow the business.

Manage TM1 Applications throughout the entire finance community, including Statutory, Gaap, Capital, and Actuarial Forecasting Models. Additionally supporting and designing management and external reporting for both the P&C and Life Operations. This includes building, architecting, documenting, and testing these applications and also perform analytics at times to assist others throughout the organization.Key Accomplishments:Served as lead developer and co-architect for the P&C Capital Reporting modules which produce exhibits allowing Senior Management to track the Company's capital position. Also we mimicked Rating Agency models to provide guidance throughout the year in a controlled and simplified fashion. This process took around 2 weeks prior to being done in TM1, now this is compiled in a matter of hours. Served as the co-developer and co-architect and lead support Administrator for the P&C Forecasting model. This was a large effort completed in a short period of time. This model takes inputs from many areas of the company and dynamically generates an Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. This process has become so fluid that it is now done monthly rather than quarterly due to ease of use. Furthermore, having this application has provided better more accurate forecasting allowing Senior leaders to react quicker in this ever changing economy.Trained many Clients and Developers to become more proficient within the application. This includes leading training classes in a classroom setting as well as one on one individual attention. Including managing two teammates for the last 8 months.Fully automated loading multiple General Ledgers into the TM1 Platform for use within many reporting applications. The entire year's worth of data is loaded under the most recent structure in under 5 minutes.Received 3 promotions during my time in this;

Financial Analyst-Reinsurance Accounting June 2002-March 2005Prepare and analyze the Schedule F portion of the Regulatory Reporting NAIC Booklet. Also, create and distribute Ad Hoc Reports for analysis and Schedule F preparation. Key Accomplishments:• Updated and maintained an Access database that allowed others within the company to view current balances outstanding with Reinsurers.• Improved the timing of Schedule F delivery by a week, while also lowering our Surplus penalty by about 30 Million dollars due to improved tracking leading to better collateral being collected in prepration for year-end.
