Provided assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents and families in a community mental health setting. Provided weekly individual therapy to marginalized adult outpatients with severe mental illnesses and adults participating in the Parole Re-entry Program (PRC) for substance abuse issues. Most clients were homeless and present with co-morbid diagnoses, severe mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, extreme trauma histories and some were involved in the legal system. Provided psychological testing to clients. Cases were presented during weekly supervision.

Worked with a volunteer coordinator for mental health services in Du Page County, Illinois. Received social support skills training and was educated on different mental illnesses. Weekly visits to the Wheaton Group Home for the mentally ill were performed with my self-trained Therapy Dog. Therapy dog provided unconditional love, performed tricks and interacted with clients; creating a healthy social environment for clients to participate in.
