I work at the intersection of public art and health. Currently, I am the Associate Curator & Senior Project Manager for Arts in Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public hospital system in the US. I organize temporary and permanent art commissions and curate a diverse collection of over 7,000 works across 70+ acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, and primary and preventative healthcare centers. My role extends to driving our health justice initiative and elevating civic engagement through the arts reaching 46,000 staff and 1.2 million patients and families each year. Prior, I led the NYC Mural Arts Project, where I collaborated with artists, mental health advocates, and community organizations to create murals that challenge perceptions and promote mental health awareness. A standout achievement was bringing a mural to JFK International Air Terminal, blending community-led art with a global platform.My MFA in Curatorial Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art shaped my perspective on how cultural producers respond to public health crises, with my thesis delving into artist-led cultural production and institutional responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic.
