I started at Seashell Trust following my PGCE in primary education. I have been at Seashell since August 2019 and started as a support worker, I have quickly moved through the ranks and in May 2022 was promoted to a House Manager role. Since starting at Seashell my most notable and proudest achievements besides supporting the children to live as independent a life as possible is supporting a young person to complete a charity bike ride for Seashell during the height of the pandemic, not only was this a fantastic financial achievement with over £8,000 raised for the trust it was more importantly incredibly beneficial to the young person I was supporting as due to the effects of the pandemic being out and about on his bike really helped his mental and physical well being and gave the young person an overwhelming sense of achievement, a feeling I will cherish forever. In my role as House manager I currently manage a team of staff to strive to deliver an outstanding quality of care for the children we support on a daily basis. My biggest motivation is to help people lead happy and healthy lives and I feel I make a positive difference to the children I support each day.
